PNWBuckeye, it could be worse....

Tuesday, 30 January

My poor cat got out of jail today, but it sure wasn't free. And he's on pretty tight home surveillance, complete with this charming "e-collar" that disorients him and makes it a challenge to do anything besides purr (you know, basic things, like eating and walking). The vet assures me that since his wound and abcess were on his face, he WON the fight (the loser gets an abcess on his hindquarters--and note the pronouns here are all MALE). But, like PNWBuckeye, I don't think he feels like he won much. I do have a supply of kitty painkiller, meloxicam, if you run out of morphine.

That's the coolest looking lampshade I have ever seen!

May your cats never party so hard that they get stuck in one of these! I can save this one for you, but I think a lightbulb might make it melt. And guess what? It's NOT made in China. This is a Danish import.

He definitely does not look like he wants to get on the trainer.

What's up with Mick's team? I did the complete "hand off the bars" right hand wave to their 20+ guys on LkWashBlvd on Sat morning and I don't even think I got a nod. Aren't you teaching your boys how to love?

totally... our group put up a lemonade stand for them with donuts and not so much as wink or a nudge... what gives OAD?!? What's it gonna take to get some love from those guys? Do we need a hot chocolate stand you can afford?

OAD is out of the country, but those were the cat 3 boys you saw on Saturday. They're still learning. The cat 1-2 guys (& I) rode to Sultan for YUMMY donuts at the bakery. We sure didn't see anybody to wave at out on the Ben Howard Rd.

explains why his blog still says "Yippeeee!" So today's TEC4 title was for naught.

Oh, he'll see the Tec4 title sooner or later. And I did scold FRM's cat 3 ringleader. Told him he had to be nice on the road but not in races.

I was with those Cat3 types. Kenmore is pretty darn far away from Auburn.

If we were on lake wa, it was one of two times:
1 ) When we were just rolling out, before anyone was awake
2 ) when we were getting back, too busy being freezing as bloody hell in the 39 degree rain that suddenly showed up.

Plus, it was the first time I'd ridden with those types in a while. I spent the whole day figuring out who was who that I hadn't seen since getting their kits...

Around 9:30 south of Leschii. The fact that I don't know any of the FRM 3s probably doesn't help (they all race the 6:00 Seward).

And what's wrong with being nice during a race?

Oh. You haven't done a masters race. :) In women's races, on the other hand, the pack has been known to STOP AND WAIT for a rider who gets a flat. Just ask Gina.

"Oh. You haven't done a masters race. :)"

Salt in the wound....thanks.

okay, I get a freebie on the non-friendliness thing, then, I hooked up with 'em at Seward. Yeah, I raced the 6:00 last year, but it's all 7:00 this one.

What team is ya on?

It's like the Catholic church around here with the guilt... think of waving to other cyclists as like genuflecting.

I think the FACT that is being lost in all this blog blabber is that the cat is damn cute.
