While I was out running this morning, I saw a guy "walking" his dog with his car. He sat behind the wheel with a retractable leash in hand out the window and drove slowly down the block while the dog prowled and sniffed along the edge of the street. What, I'm supposed to be happy the dog is getting some exercise? This speaks volumes about what ails our society....

Okay...maybe I can understand if the dog was running and he felt like this was the only way to keep pace with the dog (as I use to do that on a bike). But sniffin' the grass? This guy needs to get off his duff (kept it PG here).
Are you trying to provoke me into some generalization about how Americans are just lazy gas-guzzling idiots who can only expend their own energy to come up with ploys like this one to (1) reduce their own caloric output and (2) increase our dependence on foreign oil? Well, there, you just did. I have no issues with the doggy.
